Some updates for everyone.
My friends have a solar instillation company where I live, and new tech is coming on the market. you can get a battery system that is hooked up to the mains. If a blackout happens, apparently it switches to internal only, then when the power comes back on, it reconnects to the grid.
This type of system has only been available for a few weeks, so time will tell if it is any good or work needs to be done to iron out the kinks.
If it does what it says, it should be absolutely fantastic, store your own power for night time use and still make some money off the power companies.

Ok thanks guys, haven't had to play with boom sticks for over 20 years, so didn't know what the new rules were.

Hi Guys,
Not sure if this has already been posted but, does anyone know for Queensland, the questions and answers for the licence test?

aahh, I know this beasty, basically what they are doing is looking at an unmanned resupply vehicle for the space station and future missions to the moon and mars.
How is works from my understanding from tech sights is, they launch from earth obviously, then auto pilot it to destination then the receivers pick up the signal and guide it in for docking at their end.
for a mission say to mars, they send them at 2 month intervals to be met up with by the manned mission along the way, this will cut weight down for the launch from earth, plus it can carry extra fuel, food, clothing medicine etc, plus you don't have to worry about speed with them, just shoot em fast and furious.
But that one is small in comparison to the end model which will be about twice its size, from what I understand, big enough to store something the size of a long haul bus.
