also for purpose. If its survival, you don't need the full 2000 cal... but if its for long term, may want to look into hunting/fishing/trapping/growing to supplement. Yep definitely working on the growing part. There's no way storing that many kg of vegetables and fruit is going to pan out. That leaves growing/foraging.

I think that's why a lot of people I know have switched over to using VPNs.

I just got frustrated at plugging things into a calculator. It was kinda shocking how much 1 person eats in 3 months, so I wanted to run some simulations.

There's a crazy amount of silt in an older toilet cistern. I guess you could do it in a pinch, but keep in mind that turbidity will greatly reduce the viability of some sanitisers. You'd definitely want to avoid disrupting the silt as much as possible, or perhaps let it settle and decant the water later on prior to treatment?

I would have thought this is aimed at IP infringement matters. eg downloading of digital media likes movies, TV programs and games.
Provided the links do not pertain to activity that permits the above, should be fine?

This is a question that I'm working through currently. There doesn't seem to be a lot of guidelines to answer this question immediately available on a google search I have taken the information on the Wilderness Survival website and converted it to a spreadsheet format that allows one to increase/decrease the number of heads and apply a percentage reduction factor to take into account 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4 rations. I've attached it here thinking that some people may find this interesting as a self-check or, for those starting out like me, as a good starting point guide. Also good for simulation of how rationing can extend lifespan of supplies.

his first prep should be losing weight. That's a bit rough mate, some of us like to store food like a camel - in our humps!

I agree it does capture some grind, but it's questionable whether it makes engaging long term gameplay. 7 Days to Die can be bought on Steam here for USD25. It does have some grind elements as well, but when you're playing with people it's so much more enjoyable. I've racked up a fairly silly number of hours lately with friends playing it. Working as a team really helps start things off, although late game now 2-3 of us are able to maintain/grow things. PM me if you ever want to try playing it on a server with us.

Awesome that people have given this a shot. It also reinforces my view that preppers are (and should be!) normal people with normal lives and interests, not just sitting in their bunker and praying for the world to end! I bought This War of Mine on Steam, and to be honest I feel it falls down a lot as a game. The lack of resources (understandable in the scenario described) translates into gameplay that is a grind, as you're searching for X more components to craft with. Which may be realistic, but doesn't always translate into a fun game. I also got sick of people constantly smoking the cigarettes I wanted to trade with!! Has anyone played 7 Days to Die? It's a Minecraft/Walking Dead type hybrid. I've been hiring a server on and off (currently on) for the last year. Awesome fun to build a walled compound with your friends, grow crops, hunt, and raid nearby towns/cities for valuables.
