This is the song that was being pumped into the operating theatre when my dad went in for a ruptured Achilles' tendon. Gotta love Dire Straits!

Going to the country, gonna eat a lot of peaches... Peaches come from a can, they were put there by a man, in a factory downtown... And if I had my way, I'd eat peaches every day... Memories of freshman year at Uni - thanks, Rem!

I'm running to the fruit market and Asian Market to stock up as quickly as possible...just in case!
1. I'll be drinking 2 litres of milk and eating Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (f@ck this diet!) 2. Listening to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's Somewhere Over the Rainbow:
3. Because I love it and it gives me great joy. 4. Snuggled in bed with my wife, daughter and both dogs!
My wife's response: 1) Tequila 2) REM's It's The End of the World 3) Obvious and personal favourite 4) At home hosting a party..."bring it on"
My Wife responding as me: 1) Yamazaki Whiskey 2) Eye of The Tiger 3) Rocky is one of my favourite movies 4) "knee deep in 18 year old women" (gotta admit I was pretty taken aback by this)

I pushed 'The HAB Theory' aside to read the Ashfall series, but I believe this is the premise for the book. A bit ahead of its time for 1976.

Can't forget the multivitamin (Malunggay Tree) or Vitamin C (Kakadu Plums)!
If I was on a rural plot I would have a few of each, along with a ton of Avocado.

Are you allowed to import Asian seeds into Australia? They seem very hot on biosecurity.

Anyone have any success growing Kakadu Plums (Billy Goat Plums)?
i can buy seeds, but haven't found any saplings for sale or any indication if they could be cultivated in SE QLD.
Each fruit contains 50-100 times the vitamin C of an orange.
any information or first hand knowledge would be appreciated.

I've been rethinking my luxury prep(s).
Every trip back to the US I stock up on Kraft Parmesan Cheese, blocks of Kraft Velveeta Cheese and Contadina Tomato Paste.
The Kraft Parmesan here has a very strong flavour and overpowers my homemade spaghetti sauce. I bring over 4-10lbs a year and have accidentally misplaced some in the past and used it 3+ years later. The colour had changed a bit, but flavour remained the same.
Velveeta is a shelf stable pasteurised cheese. It has a best by date, but no expiration date and can last for years unopened. Makes the best homemade macaroni and cheese and doesn't separate when heated like normal cheese.
As for the Contadina Tomato Paste, my spaghetti sauce just doesn't taste the same without it. I've tried every brand sold in Australia that I've come across and none taste right. I try to bring a flat back every trip. I've had cans for 2-3 years with no issue, but notice that sometimes it separates in mid-summer. Taste is unaffected. I rotate this stock pretty regularly, but every once in a while I come across one that is up to 3 years past expiration and have never thought twice about using it.
Thus, considering that I import these products from overseas (dedicated suitcase), I guess they would be my luxury preps. Snickers are for morale.
