Yes. But the fact that a rocket launcher or arty piece is present, and begins firing seconds after the missile impact, explains the target of the strike doesn't it?

I live in Victoria, eastern suburbs for those in the area. There isn't a large enough military presence in the state to block anything off from anywhere. Nor police for that matter. A few traffic lights lost power around chirnside and lilydale the other week and the cops can only get people out to a couple intersections and the others are left to turn to mayhem.

Been following news and on another forum. Yes US police are more militarised than most first world countries domestic policing organisations. However look at how out of hand things got in the London riots and other cities in England. So ask yourself, are you the type of person who needs to fear police treatment of people who are rioting and looting?

He wants the government to bring them back to Australia? HA! Firstly, he will probably die over there. And secondly, if he ever makes it back he'll be arrested at the gate. And realistically they'll probably try get plain clothes AFP on the flight if they have the time. Now I've got little faith in our court system, they destroy a lot of good work the police do and some horrible people walk free. However in this case I'd hope he was locked away and never set free. Ideally though the former would happen, because our jails are too nice and they're expensive also.

I think this is great and impressive but if I'm honest with myself, I love being a consumer. I would attempt to live like this, if I had an income stream from something that didn't require much of my time.

Fishing/shotgun vest will work just as well for most camping and even bugging out, though I'd vote for a smock over a fishing vest. The benefit of modern molle vests is that they easily and extensively customised, and the ability to allow the wearer to conveniently carry hundreds of rounds of ammo. Sometimes that comes in handy.
Smocks you'll commonly find are in auscam or multicam, neither are rare even in civilian circles these days. Though if you look a little harder you'll find them in plain greens and tan

Disclosure: I like chest rigs. I'm buying components for a new one this evening for my 7615 rig.
If you want to carry small, light survival gear and food then look at 4 pocket smocks. If you want to carry heavier items such as moderate amounts of centrefire ammo, water, etc. then I'd recommend a vest because it will distribute and support the weight better.
A vest doesn't have to look like you're stepping off a chinook into the badlands, but the brilliance of molle vests is that you can have a variety of pouches to kit all your gear and then set it up however you need/want it for the particular trip. A vest might simply include a water bladder on the back, a torch and leatherman holder, then a small accessory pouch for some food and another one for a packet of .22LR ammo and that's what you might take hunting. You might feel a bit silly, or you might be better off carrying that stuff in a backpack or it might work perfectly for you and you'd never use anything else.
The argument of it "looking military" is one to consider if you're walking around the local shops with it on and a sawn off slung under your trench coat. In Australia Victoria though (assuming you don't live rural) you have to transport ammo in a locked container, so walking out of your house wearing your chest rig isn't practical. I wear a chest rig (navy: radio, baton, 2xcuffs, torch, leatherman, dump pouch for keys) for my security job and carry it in one hand and my work bag in the other to my car 7 nights a fortnight and I'm yet to have a visit from the cops about it. However I've driven past shooters on crown land who were wearing a chest rig, carrying a rifle and had small pack on, given them a wave and not thought a second thought about if this was the start of some sort of coup or insurgency.
If you're out in a state forest or other crown land in a chest rig and worry about what other people will think about your rig then you can wear a jacket over it.. though maybe not in summer or if you're got a godzilla rig with 12 pmags, 1L nalgene + bladder, nav, obs and comms gear, and a small hospital. But a low profile rig will easily fit under a loose jacket without raising eyebrows.
