I'm planning on travelling extensively next year and I'm highly concerned about the global situation. Though I won't let some bombings or beheadings, or Russian soldiers dictate where I will or won't go. But in some countries that I spend a bit of time in, where necessary I'll be sourcing defensive tools and everywhere I go I'll locate the nearest Aus or NZ (I'm a dualie) embassy, or the like and that's my bug out loc if the place turns to shit.

Interesting times indeed. Is it weird that I'm kinda excited?

Interesting times indeed. Is it weird that I'm kinda excited? Not wanting to burst your bubble, but yes. This from another blog I subscribe to posted just last week: "I hope that everyone has done at least one this week, no matter how small, to be better prepared for the awful events that are getting ready to happen. It isn’t going to be fun, as some seem to think and even if you’ve prepped and done everything right, you probably still won’t make it, but at least you’ll have a better chance than those who have done nothing."

Hey so how long you think we have ? Its already begun and I believe within the next year we will see things escalating! Do whatever you can to prepare! Get fit. Organise your home to work efficiently. Store water in whatever containers you can find that are suitable. Buy some seeds.

Its becoming just as likely something will occur here as any other place so you might as well enjoy your travels.

sigh~
The SO doesn't allow me to store the water. I'm hoping for water filtration instead.
Sawyer filters here I come!

Lol I am wanting to improve my fitness level too, but not so easy for me these days, I use to walk to marlows lagoon every night, once there I would do some meditations then go for a walk around the park then do some star gazing before walking home. All up that's about 15 klm and that's only what I walked after dark, from morning till dark I would probably have walked an other 15-20 klm and that was most days.

I _do_ have a river just next to my home If you find yourself confined to home though, get one of those large water barrels and run a hose with a funnel on the end through a window. You will obviously need to attach the funnel and hose to something outside the window. That all depends on wether you can of course

That's not the best location to prep from, I feel ya pain mate.
Do you have room for a table or could get away with replacing a table you current gave? How about make a table out of slabs of bottled water with a piece of wood on top and a table cloth covering the whole thing?

i considered a table. no space. no worries.. i stock 3 days of water most of the time anyway. its to keep out for 7 days or more thats an issue. 3 days is 13.5L per pax or 27L for the both of us. I have that in 5L bottles, stuck in a giant plastic stocker box. any more the missus will not allow...

The table I have outside is just an empty crate, if you get some just stack and cover with a small board and cloth. Not only will you have a table but extra shelves to store supplies.
