OK so I chucked this together recently on a suggestion from remnantprep for how to use an old Berocca (or equivalent) canister. I Just broke the fibrous fire starters up to use as tinder, put it int he bottom, added the flint and striker on top and put the lid on, lid comes with a little O2 absorber (probably all used up by now though) but it is pretty much air and water tight. I broke up two or three little bricks. A tip for using a flint striker, scrape some off over your tinder first, then strike it. I have successfully started a couple of fires with this already and was very happy with the result. I did it more as a novelty than anything but as always advice, additions, corrections etc are always welcome. Just keep it constructive if you can.

I collect dryer lint... yeah, I'm one of those guys. OH MAN, my washing machine collects and compresses lint into convenient little blocks. Thank you for an amazing idea.

...it turns it into bricks for you! Now that's cool. I just scrap it off the filter and fill up ziplock bags

...it turns it into bricks for you! Now that's cool. I just scrap it off the filter and fill up ziplock bags it all gets caught into this little contraption that you have to unfold, it is all compressed in that, you just open it (Unfold) and pull out a brick, the brick is wet and I usually just bin it, I am very disapointed in myself as usually I find a re purpose for as much as I can. Maybe the moisture in the washing machine helps it compress into a brick, I remember lint from clothes driers as being light and fluffy so it's same but different if you get me.

I would say that I found this video however the wife said if I don't credit her (she found it) I will die and or live a life of pain (I'm married so life of pain is already there).
Here is the video
Good thing: Wife is now keen on prepping. Bad thing: Wife is now keen on prepping (have to share my toys)

Yep dryer lint, and a little Vaseline or fire-starter shavings is awesome
