Pour a glass of red, dim the lights, sit back, and listen to a piece of music once considered to be of such beauty that hearing it more than once a year would corrupt a person.

Well ... it's been about a year since I arrived here. Time to revisit the first tune I put here:

This music sounds exactly like music by "Two Steps From Hell". They started off writing music for trailers, commercials, etc. I understand they now work for Hans Zimmer. This is one of my favourites of theirs. Turn the volume up. Loud.

Yay - me too - I LOVE Two Steps From Hell.
Not tonight though - in a quiet, reflective mood (what, Me? you ask?). It happens on occasions. I got this spine chilling song on now;

Headphones, glass of red, cigar...............no idea what they are saying, but it's very easy on the ears.

Great piece of music from a pretty decent film attempting to portray the most lethal conflict in human history.
On one side there were men, scared to give up, fighting for their lives ... and on the other side too.

That's an Armenian style of music. So many cultures from Eastern Europe to the Middle East have the long melodic lines over a fairly stagnant harmonic part like this; it's the type of music in which both performer and listener alike can become completely entranced. Amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing it.
