So I heard of these reusable cling wrap alternatives a little while ago and saw them in a store on the weekend. The brand I bought is Wrap it Green (Aussie made) and so far I'm impressed. I thought it'd be a great 'prep' to have because it takes less space and is so easy to DIY so thought I'd share here. I got a pack of 3 different sized ones (20x20cm, 25x25cm & 30x30cm) for $34.95. It's basically beeswax melted onto cloth. While it starts relatively stiff the warmth of your hands molds it into almost whatever shape you want. Once you're done you just wash it with cold soapy water, drip dry and store in the cupboard. Pros: - Re-useable
- Environmentally friendly
- Easy to DIY
- Lasts about a year
- Takes up less space than a year's worth of cling wrap
Cons: - Can't use directly on meat because you can't sterilise it (heat melts the beeswax)
- It left a little bit of a waxy residue on my hands after use
- Takes longer to use than cling wrap because you need to warm it a bit with your hands and push it into shape.

there are also those things that look like mini shower caps I haven't seen those? One of the things I like about these ones is that you can use them to wrap sandwiches etc

I love this kind of stuff, SR this would be great for most things and as you said, not meat. But you can use a plethora of other containers for that and isn't meat best wrapped in a sterile cloth soaked in an acidic solution?
Like a ham bag?
Anyway i'm getting off topic, where can I get these?
