Hey, I started to build a rocket stove a little while ago, the plan was to build it then expand on it and turn it into a gasifiers, As always you start to build something then you do some research and you realise that you are going about it all wrong, then you change your idea and keep going so this is were I started. a basic rocket stove. the piece out the front is a air gap so the fire can suck air in from underneath.<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/94de3cf3/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/94de3cf3/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>

Well this was just the start of it, the idea was to fit it into a gas bottle and be able to add a cylinder into the middle so it could be used as a gasifier. A few more pics of how that all changed along the way.

as for a fire with minimal wood to burn it worked great but you still had to keep adding wood, so after some more research I found a self feeding design, so back to the grinder and welder. so this is a test run with the self feeder, it worked great, then I added some vermiculite and welded the top back on upside down so it would become a heat sink. <script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/94de3cf3/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>

then came the start of testing how to make a gasifier work. here are some parts for the future. the plan is to seal the top with another gas bottle and have the ability to fit and remove a cylinder full of wood.

So I am no expert at this, it is the first time I have tried to make one of these, Sense I have started this project I have now joined a rocket stove gasifier forum, I should have joined there first and down alot more research. But you know the saying you learn from your mistakes. so I will keep at it. Iunderstand the concept of the gasifiers so I tried to get a simple system to work, with just steaming some wood in a container with a outlet pipe, it took some time but I eventually got a flame out the end. So this was all the testing I have done for now, I havent had a lot of time to play lately, I will get there as I have collected some more material. anyway I Hope you have enjoyed so far, I will post more pics in the future, I think when I start to play again the desing will change again. to many ideas in my head. thanks Paul<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/94de3cf3/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
