What I want to know is, is this Australian, or is it a yank mag. only reason I ask is, it is hard to import some items from OS, especially knives and the such like, but if it has Aussie distributors that sounds good.

Thats a shame, I would love to see an Aussie version.... Hey I guess we could do one, nominate a dozen people a month or bi-monthly to write articles, we have specialists in various things and a lot of us want to learn more and this could give us the incentive, what do you guys think?

Definitely a valid idea. I personally wouldnt know where to start though and could only imagine the costs putting something together. If anyone has any background in this, please PM me.

it could just be one of those E-Magazines I guess, no printing outlay then, make it free for the first few issues to see if we can keep it up

I do get sick of reading online though at times. Theres nothing better than kicking back with a good mag. Again though, i wouldnt know where to start re e-magazine.

I agree, I prefer a real mag, can kick back on the porch, have a cold tinny and a read. The site already has a good blog going anyway, so that kind of covers an E-mag.

Yep, can't go past real mags or books. I still buy books rather then download them, can't help it
I think anything that is a regular publication (mag or e-mag) would be a huge amount of work. Quality articles with photos on regular basis would be quite time consuming for those involved (or you would need to deal with a large number of contributers but all still need to be edited) as well as dealing with logistics of distribution etc. Big undertaking...

MASSIVE amount of work like you would not believe.
At one point I was writing an article for a mag most months, that was huge and only a single article that I already had photos for. I can't even imagine the amount of work required to do an entire mag.

fair enough, just an idea. I was more thinking something quarterly so it wouldnt be such a mission to get a whole magazines worth of articles.
