I see they didn't bother with the NT there as usual, just because we're coming into the wet don't mean we don't get high temps and humidity. .

I follow USA and English weather patterns when I can And will give you my forecast based on the going ons Winter is hitting early in the USA this year, so our summer will be longer and hotter that normal Storms and such were also more nasty, hail, floods, etc so I wouldn't be surprised if we have some record breakers, wildfire season was also extreme Back to Australia Se qld is on track for a "ash Wednesday" style of fire, the fuel load is right, temperatures are right, humidity is right, just need some good winds, (my advice here, do some day time fire drills if your within a few streets from the bush, activate your bushfire plan) all we need is a few more days like today (35 degrees low humidity) and no rain... And its going to be fun (a lot of seqld is on high fire danger ATM) we are expecting a few areas to get into the canopy... A type of fire not (I repeat NOT) common in seqld Other predictions.. Possible power shortages due to load use (increase in air con etc) combined with fires the infrastructure wont be happy

As it gets so hot here where I am and my house is like an oven during summer, we really rely on airconditioning! If that goes then we will cook! We are trying to turn our food storage room into a big coolgardie type cool safe by hanging hessian at the windows and using a solar pump to pump the water up and down the hessian via drip hose!
I am also investigating cooling mats to sleep on etc! Because we rent we cant do solar!

My son is spending a lot of time under the sprinkler system I set up under the cloths line, I used the soaker hose and zip tied it to the line, then covered the line with some shade cloth. Once up tied it down so it wouldn't blow away, then plugged the hose and turned it on, he loves running around under it to stay cool, we don't have air cons so spending the day under it helps.
