I have created a few threads for these questions! They have been taken from www.edthatmatters.com/preparedness-questions-for-a-better-online-community/ and I thought they would be good to ask here! "I read a lot in an effort to post the best PREPAREDNESS content on Prepper Website. Sometimes though, I wonder if the Preparedness Community might have some questions that are not getting answered by the Preparedness websites and forums. Numbers, we have a few foundations in place but long term survival is about numbers

Mechanical type stuff. Fixing cars, trucks, gennies etc is something I am pretty ordinary at. I know some basics, but in a post SHTF world, more knowledge would be useful

Yeah more awareness of other preppers close by so you can organize a civilized community post shtf Its difficult to organise a group of Preppers or survivalists since were a suspicious and lone wolf breed anyway. Still, it would be nice to know we could contact each if we needed help or meet up with like minded people every few months to share ideas, techniques etc. The Ausprep logo on your car or hat to spot your brothers and sisters in the movement.   The most dangerous weapon a Lebbo from Lakemba owns is his mobile phone!!!!!!!!. Any sign of trouble he's on his phone and within minutes three carloads of his mates are on the spot to help him. Not a fair fight but that's the reality. Their assholes and cowards but this is how they make up for lack of backbone. My dream or wish if you like would be to have a group you could call on and know for certain help was on its way. It doesn't have to be physical backup. It can be food, shelter, Medical treatment, a roof over your head for the night passing through state to state hooking up with over members. Not call and hear " sorry mate, I've got a BBQ on, the missus is on me back, the kids are sick. I'm generalising here but you know what i mean  We need to change our way of thinking.  |

I agree completely with the numbers comments, I would love to have some likeminded people out here that I can throw ideas off (present company excluded) and generally just shoot the breeze with.
In saying that I am paranoid about opsec and people getting in on the group purely to have an avenue to steal from if shit went bad. You would weed these people out very quickly even pre-SHTF but they would still know you have SOMETHING, and if it all goes bad then something is more then they have

Like everyone it seems I would like to form a MAG of some kind, but with everyone living all over the place and OPSEC concerns it seems doomed to failure.
