With Xmas not too far away I thought I would see if I could work out a Prepper Xmas menu from food storage! After I have tried each recipe I will post the result! Please share any ideas you may have or your own menu plan!
Starters
Antipasto
Olives
Dolmades
Cut up Bockwurst Sausage and Cheddar cheese and some @#$%tail onions on skewers!
Main
Baked Spam Loaf
Savory Skillet Potatoes
Balsamic Glazed Carrots
Green Peas
Dessert
Canned Xmas Pudding

Tinned Fruit

not completely related but xmas is great time to stock up on fruicake, high in calories per kg, has at least marginal utritional value and keeps forever! I buy the coles 1KG ones normally after xmas for $1 each...... however I usually end up eating them pretty quick!

Great idea but yeah I love fruitcake so would eat it all to quickly! Tinned plum pudding is also a good option.

Thanks Frank! I am getting more and more amazed at just what you can make with food stores. Hubby, daughter and I thought it was good but son would only eat the peas HAHA! I told him that while others would be scratching around for worms to eat we would be feasting on spam! I guess it comes down to perspective. The potatos were really good and the pudding was good to. Actually the peas were the worst part! Haha

Was the pudding one of those long-life type christmas ones in the plastic tubs?
If so, those things are awesome!
We were chatting at work the other day and came to the conclusion that after a nuclear war the only thing left would be Ozzy Osbourne and Kieth Richards sharing a Lions Christmas cake with a couple of cockroaches.
