Howdy members..Here's a pic of my 40watter with 30a reg. Good for about 3amps continous. I use this panel to keep the camper charged when its not in use. Its also good when doing a weekender. I can get almost 2 weeks out of the battety as is so its good and small enough to take just for weekends to replace what we use. Cheap to, cost about $60 all up to make.

What type of a battery did you use to store the charge?

What type of a battery did you use to store the charge? OL the camper has a 100a/hr gel battery in it.

Maybe a stupid question but $60 for the whole setup including the gel battery?

Maybe a stupid question but $60 for the whole setup including the gel battery? Jase, that was purely just for the panel setup. The battery in the camper cost me $300. Keeping it at above 12.9V increases the life cycle and ensures its ready to go at any time. I was going to mount this to the roof of the shed, drop the wire down through the tiles and put the reg inside, but as i said above, its just too handy given its size to throw it in the camper and use it for a weekend here and there. Will post up my larger portable set up soon.
