I came across this interesting video on welding using two car batteries which I thought may be useful post SHTF. Im no welder, but the welds this guy gets dont seem too bad.

Yeah I hadnt seen it done before - Ive added in some welding rods and some decent amp wire to my tool kit now based on that.

You should post this in the DIY section Jason! I made my jumper leads from 150amp welding wire, and used extra heavy clamps so as to be able to weld from batteries as well! You guys are right on the ball!! Keep up the good work! Gee I am a goose...this is the DYI Section..LMAO...

That's an old FWD trick that I never mastered because I can't stick weld for nuts, but I can MIG weld so I got one of these It's got me out of the poo a couple of times ______ Rob

This thread is full gold, well no actually ferrous iron rods and robs wire but you know what I mean.
