So, the silly season is on us and I was wondering what sort of preparedness related gifts you would give to someone who is absolutely not into preparedness... in a way that doesn't make it totally obvious that you are preparing them behind their backs?

What are they into?
Some non-specific ideas for non-prepper prepping items might be.... Jerky maker, one of those ceramic water dispensers that "improve the taste of water" and also happen to take out any nasty stuff, solar usb charger, leatherman (chat box topical item, everyone needs a leatherman), 25kg of salt.
Okay maybe the salt is a little obvious...

Do they have a pool... could be like 'it's for the pool..... or whatever'

Maybe one of the aldi type wind up torches. I read about them on a thread here so went and got a couple for myself.

What I did for a friend was I got them a hand saw. They had just built a new shed and had only a few tools. A hand saw will be useful for any prepper and non prepper. Get them some tools for building things or gardening. It's not prepper tools but no prepper should be without them.

Would depend who I was buying for but maybe some general camping gear like a billy, gas cooker, trangia, shovel, tomahawk, compass, firestarter. Otherwise maybe small vehicle first aid kit, fire extinguisher or blanket, multi-tool or fishing gear

As a house warming gift I built my sister and brother in law a first aid kit.

A nice easy one would be a headlight or some candles, especially with the weather we have been having here as of late. Easy sell, I was concerned what you would do when the power goes out so I got you this, I got my partner a candle making kit last year and she loved it. So we have plenty of home made candles now and you can sent them to what ever you like. Good little arty crafty thing for the kids to do as well
