Ive pretty well bailed on the idea of a BOB *ducks boo's*
Ive incorporated my bug-out items into my camper, as i will be using that to bug out. I do feel its a great risk though.
Also in saying this, i do have a "day pack" or what i would call a 72hr bag that i can post if anyone is interested.

Are the Charcoal filtered bottles LIFESAVERS? as in brand? mine are bobble brand. they make a pretty big diff to the town water. though i doubt i would get the few hundred litres out of it with more contaminated water like pool water or river water. that said ive drunk more than my fair share of river water when on the farm. not a problem unless ppl have sprayed in the week or so prior imo. (yes that means ive drunk my fair share of unfilterd, diluted cows pee, cow poop, and undoubtably heaven knows what else, lmao, but it never made me sick, and i used to drink it by the litre straight from the hose)

I used to stand in cow shit till it cooled down on freezing cold mornings when getting the milk with Mum nearly every morning without fail for years! I would have a quick tub in the old steel bath in the perforated wash room before school, washing off all the cow shit and of course dunking under water to see how long I could hold my breath and open my eyes for! LoL Thinking of this now makes me uncontrollably screw my face up! Hahaha. After Countless times of knicking the bowel or intestine when dressing a deer or Roo and after having two kids with another here in the next few days.......I no longer can do Pooh! LoL Blood and brain and all the other parts no issues at all. Pooh??? Not happening without the big dry Gags!! Wayno when Jay gets back we gotta try and put something together in Vic High Country for this year sometime and I can show you what I mean! Haha My point in that was that I agree with you, Cow pooh and pee won't hurt ya one little bit! Australian Cow Pooh & pee anyway!

We're good thank you for asking. Yep she is definitely close! No Birth plan other than an epidural as they try and use it against you when you need a change in plan so we will just wing it as usual.
Maccas is a Great Enema!

Hi Mate, it is a ALPS Outdoorz Pathfinder Hunting Day pack. Very comfortable and strong! Great for my back and neck! Fits well and secures at waist and chest! The two pouches at the front are extras for ammo and mags. I don't know what to call the camo, but it is similar!

It is great, and folds down and zips up to look like just a bum pac if not being used. Going to get one for Jinny! You can walk in this all day! That's not me! Just took this image from: www.sierratradingpost.com

I'll bite. Here's my current one, duplicated for the wife [includes some feminine hygiene products] and kept in each of our car. We really need to add some woolen clothes [fire prone region] and I have good 'worn in' boots with toilet paper shoved into them. I'm working on upgrading, some items have expired and there's been some lessons learned since putting it together Food/water2 x 1kg bag of almonds 2 x 1kg fruit and nut mix 8 x packeted soups 2 x 1.5 liters of water 2 x packets of muesli bars [haven't handled the heat of the boot well are now stale] 3 x salmon/tuna packets 100g ea 2 x 220g chocolate [still edible but melted] 14 x teas 2 x pack of 7 stock cubes [make soups and stews with other ingredients] 1 x mixed herbs 1 x can of tuna 80g Tools1 x multitool - I've got the cheapo one, wifey has the good one 1 x windup/solar radio/torch 2 x steak knives - nothing special but good to have a few spares even if they blunt quickly 1 x neck knife/whistle - fairly decent steel on it. 1 x LED head light with spare batteries 2 x wind-up cheapo LED lights 1 x Vegemite - from previous experiences, awesome to have, can also use to flavor soups 1 x pruning saw 20m x parachord 1 x fishing line and hooks 1x packet of cards 3x small plastic containers - 2 waterproof [has seal], 1 taped up to waterproof matches 1x duct tape Water/cooking1 x billy with lid - can denature water, cook etc 1 x stainless mug - secondary metal container 5m x Aluminum foil 1 x set of measuring spoons - eat with and measure pool shock amounts 50g pool shock - [need to store separate some metal corrosion on a torch] 7x packets of matches - spread over 3 containers 1x magnesium fire flint [forgot to pull it out] 1x lighter 1x water purifier pump Shelter/clothing1x Poncho 1x space blanket 1x cap [keep the sun out] 1x tarp - secondary shelter, storm cover for tent, ground sheet etc. 1x 2 person tent 1x sleeping bag [not shown] 1x small day pack [K-mart for $20] - Had to tie things to the outside and no longer suitable, have upgrade. First aid kit1x Usual stuff that comes with similar kits [still in bag] and.. 1x Israeli bandage 1x tea tree oil 1x toothpaste 1x toothbrush [cut down to fit] 1x packet of long 1x second pair of decent nail scissors [scissors are so handy with first aid] 6x condoms - besides obvious use can also can be used as containers 6x cotton pads - can make bandaids/dressings and use tape. Firelighting etc. 0x superglue - wound closure and potentially other uses - had taken out and not replaced. Some needed additions- Sunscreen - large clear plastic bags - collect water from trees, container, ground sheet, shelter - waterproof bags to store gear internally in - good for storing boots outside too - may just use above so duel purpose - spork or similar - extra clothes - rat traps/snares - soap! [easy enough I just put it in when seeing I didn't have any] - cat food - if it's get away from fires, this makes sense. If it's run for your lives, we'll eat the cat and the food - maps and compass - clear tubing - to drink from clear plastic bags around branches without resetting every day - other uses also such as potentially a water purifier if it handles 100oC as most plastics can. - Tourniquet for the - Vaseline cotton wool and a few other things from this list - superglue in 'my' BOB too. - only have in wifes as I 'borrowed' it and didn't put back. - better knife - elasticized rock launcher [& arrows] - apparently legal if you make your own. Haven't put it together yet, ready otherwise. - upgrade to a decent pack - have it [thx Aldi $50!] going to pack what I have into it right now actually. - some communication

Got rid of the old food that is/has gone stale, being kept in my car means that the temps get pretty hot. I removed the chocolate that's still edible but melted into a ball at one end, the nuts and dried fruit and the muesli bars. Then I added rice, some lentils, peas, milk powder [not shown], dehydrated veggies, some tuna cans, split them into bags which are about 3-4 days each so I can ration if need be. I've got to add honey, oil [can use the oil in the tuna but its a good thing to have], half a kilo of beans [you have to soak which is a pain] which is about 13 days at 8700kj or about 8 days if I'm hiking hard. There's also 20kgs of fat on me that's about 3 months worth of energy lol. I'm confident enough to grab it and go camping/hiking right now for over a week if I combine with the boots, map, compass, extra clothes sitting in the boot next to it. I could spend more and have a better tent [was a $12 Kmart] but have roughed it plenty of times with less. Also added electrolyte tablets [vomiting/exercise], soap, paracetamol, vaseline [dried lips/fire-starting] Some needed additions- Sunscreen - large clear plastic bags - collect water from trees, container, ground sheet, shelter - spork or similar - extra clothes - rat traps/snares - soap! [easy enough I just put it in when seeing I didn't have any]- cat food - if it's get away from fires, this makes sense.
