Yeah this is my chance now to upgrade, I would of had said 4wd with bullbar if I could of found 1 in my price range at the time. This is the 2nd car I've written off this year

Does that mean it's confirmed as a write-off? Bummer.

I'll find out in the morning, but taking a closer look at it, there is some sub frame damage of bending and folding behind the tonne of plastic they put on these things. At least I know the brakes work good, pulled me up from 100 in 15m from where the roo landed

The same thing happened to wife's car earlier this year - a closer look showed the structure was twisted. While the insurance assessors said it was repairable, it would be expensive (hence the write off). I also don't know if I'd trust the repair, given the fatigue suffered by the structural metal.
Here's hoping you get a decent payout for it...

Haha it's financed, I'll get didly squat. Luckily this time I did agreed value which was a few grand higher then what I paid for the car, plus with what I've already paid, I'll get a few grand in change to put towards the next one.
Looking around on the net, it seems a 02-06 patrol or prado in diesel with bullbar and average of 2-300k is within my price range. Any other suggestions for a good 4wd under the 20k mark that is diesel, and has cruise control as a min
