Hi Joey, yes the trigger is a simple rod with bait tied to it. I'll measure the trap up this arvo when i return my foraging this morning. I didn't make it, an old mate down the road did. He passed away last year and I kind of inherited that trap. So far it has accounted for quite a few ferals

FRUCTUS .... bought a FoxLight yesterday and to test its effectiveness I'll be switching off the electric wires tonight (fingers crossed says he).

Bugger, it was too! Sorry matey's. New to the forum and the user names get a bit muddled in my silly old head at times.

The electrics will be switched off tonight as I as I said (need a repair anyway) so .... fingers crossed no hits in the wee small hours. Mr .243 is always on standby; my theory is - large calibre = no coming back!! The .17HMR sure works just isn't the same
