Knives

I have to date made two knives, both were made from old files using old time hand black smithing skills which I learnt from my Grandfather. I have also made one Tomahawk head through black smithing. all of them are solid and all hold a razor edge. It takes a lot of skill to make a "pretty" knife and a lot of trial and error both my 2nd knife was a huge improvement over my first due to learning from mistakes. I have used my knives for everything from camp suit is to gutting and skinning.
My advice if you would like to make your own knife would be to do a little research and then just go for it and give it a go, your not going to make the perfect knife first go but in time with practice like everything else you will get better and it's will be another skill your able to fall back onto.
