Whilst I've collected plenty of food and know the locations, I wanted to make it easier for others to get started so I've written a list of the main sources. In Vic, I cannot recommend Hindustan enough for bulk grains/beans/milk powder. Feel free to share your sources of the main food-stuffs and I'll add it to the list.

$6 for 30L sealable food grade containiners? Damn that's cheap. Direct from the manufacturers here they're about $15 each, 15L, minimum order 1,000 units.

Yeah, they have an O'ring seal in them, food grade, easy on and off, used obviously. There's a plastic container supplier in Vic that do them new for a similar size, not with o-ring, for $15 with a lid and you can buy them from an outlet at their factory. The advantage with the o ring is that you can seal the container with CO2 in it [burnt candle] or throw in oxygen absorbers.

I love Hindustan Also they sell canned butter ( ghee) and the price is comparable to other types of chemical spreads. Ghee is pure butter with all the moisture taken out. Good for cooking. I have managed to convert wife and children over to it ( unsalted)

Joey, kind of why I'm putting it up, to bring together the local knowledge into one resource. If you find anything to add, let me know and I'll add it and hopefully others in Queensland will do the same.
