If anyone is in the market for cheap (not necessarily nasty) Chinese gear, Alibaba's AliExpress global shopping site has a sale on from 6PM (AEST) Wednesday for 24 hours. I picked up several prep-related items on their local (Chinese language) site last year (GHB bag, pocket knife, rain gear, LED torch, bulk food preps), and will be looking through their offerings today to see what I can get this year. Have particularly got my eye on some mini portable solar panels for hiking / bug-out use and some tools. I can't guarantee that what is available is the best quality, however many of the sellers are also on eBay, so know the deal with overseas buyers. While they don't allow use of Paypal (apparently due to being eBay's rival), they do support Visa, Mastercard and a bunch of other major payment options. If you're interested, why not take a look: www.aliexpress.com

I would recommend not buying any branded stuff, as its probably fake, but there are plenty of no-name or Chinese-brand things on there that should be OK. Shipping will probably take a while, although more likely to get stuff before Christmas than if you buy on eBay etc on Black Friday at the end of November.

Chinese postage can be next week, mostly about 1 month. Then there's some things that take 4-6 months to show up.
