www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/207544Russian defense ministry warns it has 'serious grounds' to think Turkey is making 'intensive preparations for an armed invasion.' Russia's defense ministry on Thursday accused Turkey of actively preparing to invade Syria as recriminations flew following a bitter breakdown in Syrian peace talks. "We have serious grounds to suspect Turkey is in intensive preparations for an armed invasion of the territory of a sovereign state - the Syrian Arab Republic," the ministry said in a statement. Tensions between Moscow and Ankara have been high of late, after Turkey shot down a Russian Su-24 jet on November 24, killing two Russian officers. In response, Russia has issued vast sanctions on Turkey dealing serious financial damage, and likewise a growing military face-off between the two sides has been seen as Moscow continues its bombing campaign in Syria to prop up the regime of Bashar al-Assad. In December Russia deployed its Mosvka missile cruiser off the coast of Syria. While the ship was said to be there to aid the airstrike campaign against Syrian rebels, its arsenal includes nuclear-capable Vulkan missiles designed to sink other warships - indicating the deployment was likely meant as a message to Turkey instead. Then in January Russia sent troops to the Syrian-Turkish border town of Qamishli, with Turkish government sources saying Russia is "closely watching" all Turkish military movement.

I wonder how much the US is pushing Turkey, then the US defends it's ally, then a shooting match starts, Obama invokes some law to enable him to stay in power, declares marshal law and demands that all who don't follow him in this war of "right" are un-American/traitors, then rounded up as conspiritors!!!
Geeze, I see a Hollywood blockbuster here - I only want 10% royalty too!!!!

Turkey has always been dead against a Kurdish homeland, and are worried that the Peshmerga (Kurd groups with western volunteers) will be pushing for their own autonomous area in Syria in addition to what they already have in Iraq. I'm not so much focused on this area at the moment -- more worried about what the North Koreans wil be doing over the next few days, as their so-called satellite (ie. missile) launch is bound to cause a lot of ructions in my general area (northeast Asia).

Yep someone needs to go into that sandpit and slap that kid around.
cause its not going to end well.. mark my words....
that little snot is so spoilt, to the extent that whatever he does the other kids just pamper to him big time... and he is never going to learn to play nicely as a result...

true that, same thing happened over here.
Your feelings and views are exactly the same over here,
however I am reminded of the following
"The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing."
so someone has to draw the line in the sand otherwise it will get worse.... Daesh, case in point.

I think it's all a tad dramatic...Assad said yesterday any force's uninvited coming into Syria will be treated as hostile and sent home in coffins.Seems a reasonable statement in my books coming from a country that doesn't persecute Christians, not many of them left over in the ME.Americans are gutless when confronting nuclear capable countries and nato aint far behind them also.
This may well be the last stand against the real terrowists...time will tell.

A nuclear power has no right to stop any other country from becoming a nuclear power! Unless of course that nuclear power divests itself of nuclear weapons! fat chance!

NK technology is not accurate enough to hit a city.
But to launch multiple mega EMP inducing bombs, don't require accuracy ... in fact if its not accurate, it might even be better. Faraday cages everyone...

Faraday cages everyone... My thoughts exactly; I guess maybe cos we're located in the same region (Asia). As much as NK blusters that they will bomb America, something tells me that if push actually comes to shove, it'll be people in our neck of the woods who will pay with their lives.
