A DANGEROUS driver was brought to justice after he was HUMPED by a randy police dog who wrestled him to the ground.
The amorous German Shepherd got “closely acquainted” with Osama Ansi after he led cops on a 85mph chase.
As a staggering Ansi tried to flee the crash scene the police dog was hot on his trail, wrapping its paws around his waist and dragging him to the ground.
Ansi, 29, was quickly arrested after he was released from the dog’s amorous clutches.
Video footage, played at Birmingham Crown Court, showed the moment the enthusiastic pooch caught his criminal as he lay on the ground.
Mark Phillips, prosecuting, said: "Unbeknown to the defendant there was a dog van following the car. "How can I say it?
"The defendant and the dog became closely acquainted, somewhat closely attached for some time."
West Midlands Police later said the incident was down to the dog getting a tooth caught up in the defendant’s jacket.
The court heard how officers began chasing Ansi’s Ford Fiesta in Edgbaston just after 5am on October 31 last year.
They believed he had been involved in a wounding incident.
The 29-year-old hit speeds of 85mph as he went "round and round" residential roads and drove on the wrong side of keep left bollards twice.
A court heard he also failed to give way at junctions twice before he eventually crashed into a parked car and tried to escape on foot.
Ansi told officers he failed to stop because he thought he was over the drink-drive limit, although he passed a breath test.
He was jailed for 12 months and banned from the roads for three years on Tuesday.
Satvir Aujula, defending, said: "He had consumed some alcohol. He panicked.
"He realises now that his behaviour was foolish."
