I used to always pay for everything with cash nowadays with paywave etc it's so convenient to just use that instead.
I still keep enough cash in the wallet to get me out of trouble but it usually sits in there untouched for weeks at a time and only gets used when I can't use the card.
I'd never not have atleast some cash on me, kinda feel naked going to pay for something and not having a cash backup.

I, as well as family and work mates today experienced some fairly severe telco ( telstra, vodo and optus carriers) disruptions. Still seeing severe wind today, we put it down to that. I havent yet seen anything saying otherwise?
Ive had no issues with data or banking etc though.
Edit: i always have around $50 in my wallet and within our preps we have around $260 in cash for an emergency.

I normally have quite a bit of cash in my wallet, but we made the mistake of taking the kids to see Disney on Ice today. Damn do those people know how to get money out of parents...
