The first thing that popped into my head is how do you even calculate 'a years resources'. I'm very much for working towards sustainability, it makes great economic sense but So it seems that it's not absolute and that it's really only carbon that is of concern. The question would be then what is a plant food [CO2] going to do with plants, well CO2 has gone up, we know this for sure, though what effects does is it having? We have not seen the warming that was talked about, though sure we see it on Venus. The models of climate catastrophe haven't panned out and the models keep changing for today. We had far higher levels in the past during the dinosaur age which had more plants [and larger animals that fed on them or carnivorous who fed on the plant eaters] so it's not like life wouldn't continue and perhaps even flourish. The question that i have in all this [and I've looked at it off and on for 24 years] is, does anybody actually know what higher CO2 levels are doing to the world, I'm not a climate scientist, I'm at best a minor enthusiast and I sure don't know.

My first thought was - I think I could make it to January without much trouble from a water, food, fuel, toiletries, etc. perspective...assuming it rains at least once between now and then.
