Sadly soon enough it will come down to this decision. And our numpties in Canberra won't be able to play Switzerland position in this battle I think.

How is it a decision when one side is a despotic one party dictatorship that kills hundreds of thousands of political prisons a year?

...well, our politicians are so watered down now, and political correctness is rampant.....I think we will play the "we love you both" card! We are too reliant on China economically, and too reliant on the US militarily!!!
One could argue too, that the US is a democratic dictatorship responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent lives (Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria etc etc etc.....), just as China is responsible for as many deaths too!!!!!
If it came to a shooting match, I'd prefer we stayed neutral, but that will never happen!!!

I've been saying this for months...Do you choose your largest trade partner or the country that has military bases and operations littered throughout your country? I know what I would choose, but I'm obviously biased...

Would that be China or US Shiney? LOL With the current evidence for one of the people running for the head of the country, I'm not sure

Another factor at play is Chinese-owned land in Australia. If the USA increases their presence in Australia, will China consider this a threat on "their" territory?
Yet another reason I'm glad I never got into politics... and why I lament the fact that our politicians ever did...
