Hubby shot a young deer on our property on the weekend, and I was thinking about my usual but small ideas for venison, and thought this might be a good place to get some recipe ideas.

There are sooooo many delicious ways to prepare venison - especially the offal. I'd suggest looking firstly at recipes by Fergus Henderson as he is The Man when it comes to simple recipes. My personal favourites (apart from offal) are roast saddle, grilled rack, and all manner of venison stews.

Give me a bit - I have a home made recipe for a dry rub for venison - a farmer mate likes the rub so much he has it on his toast for breakfast!!

Not sure on the exact recipe but a bloke at work makes great venison bolognese
