My favourite dressing is Fixomull aka hypafix It can be cut to small sizes and odd shapes It can be used directly on grazes or minor burns and left until it drops off (if kept clean) You can wash it and pat it dry It can be used to hold other dressings like gauze in place It works great on contours because it's so stretchy And it sticks so well it's like the duct tape of dressings
For medicines I know it's boring but paracetamol is my pick. Just a great all round useful medicine especially with kids

I believe neither of these products are widely used outside of USA. Just a warning: it shouldn't be standard practice to apply antibiotic ointments to minor cuts or wounds. Simple wound cleaning and applying a clean dressing are the best standard treatment. Generally there is no benefit to antibiotics ointments (unless symptoms call for it) and resistant bacteria can proliferate. Then you have some real problems to deal with.

Multivitamins. - not much use with a balanced diet, incredibly useful if you're living off your own bodyfat or limited food variety.

Old thread, but useful info.. In my 5 cents of opinion..
Here we keep a supply of Tripple Antibiaotic Cream.. Generic is just as good as name brand.. Actually both have there uses.. Generic will usually be in a thicker petrolium jelly type consistency.. One of several name brands we have is more a body cream consistancy..
We use it for a lot of things.. Scrapes, small cuts, after splinter removal, you name it.. A small dot of cream under a bandaid and good to go..

Hydrogen Peroxide (3%).
Solutions of it can be used as a mild antiseptic or mouth wash, but the main reason I store it is for sterilising containers when brewing or preserving. I go through quite a bit for the later reasons.

My favourite off the shelf medical item is BCE1. He's a wealth of medical knowledge, happy to share his expertise, and good for a bite if I use the right bait.
Btw BCE, I'm still covid free, despite many of my colleagues and even my son catching the China Flu. I've even got a few RAT's in the cupboard ready to test myself if I get any symptoms.

Sewing needles. Very cheap, freely available and great for digging out splinters etc.

Raw, bush honey, full of all sorts of stuff. My wife had an abscess on her foot, she put a little raw honey, straight from the hive on it, 10 mins the throbbing had stopped, 2 hrs later the swelling was noticeably reduced, next day u couldn't tell anything was wrong.
I don't have a solution, but I admire the problem.
