Not a spam lover jo? I always get eye rolls from the wife whenever I bring home more cans of the stuff, she wont touch it.
Just got home and checked my spam collection and noticed they don't have best before dates on them... they do have 'packed on' dates but no clue as to how long they suggest it would last.
My oldest stock is 'packed on October 2014' so I'm not concerned at all my rotation is only a year or two usually.

There was a No Reservations episode on SBS Food yesterday in which Anthony Bourdain visited a SPAM based restaurant in Hawaii. Some of the food looked awesome.

Best before dates are only for food. Haha. True, it's a metal can and something pink, squishy and unknown in the middle. Perhaps Soylent pink?

Mrs Pete has now officially banned me from buying cans of SPAM. And cans of tuna - apparently 300+ cans is "enough".

Even though I have a few cans stored up. Haven't gotten around to trying any. Might have to try some today.

It's always worth trying a preserved food while the medical system is still functioning; you don't want to find you have a food allergy after the hospitals are closed.
