This is a natural remedy that works on many animals to cure ear mites. I have only used this on my rabbits as from time to time they will get ear mites. Ear mites are an extremely unpleasant event for animals, it looks like their ears have scabs in them as the mites are hard to see with the naked eye. The animal can literally go insane with pain and persistent scratching etc. I have used this remedy for years now as have others i know and it works every time. Get a small syringe without the needle for mixing and administering the solution. Get a small bottle, if you dont have one use a lid cap off a bottle. Put in majority olive oil (tea spoon) and a few drops of either eucalyptus oil or tee-tree oil. Dont be anal about the mix, just majority oil. if you want to put in more eucalyptus or tee -tree oils or mix of both go for it, thats what i do some times but either way will work. Give the bottle a shake and inject the solution with the syringe into the ear. Be careful, rabbits can scratch and bite ya and they dont fancy having something squirted into their ears. Treat the ear the same way for a few days. You dont need to fill the ear cavity up, just get it on the scabs and you can then pat your rabbit or animal and rub the ears so that the solution gets onto the mites. Youll see a difference in just 12 hours with rabbits. Here's a pic, hope that helps and please post up if youve used this on any other animals successfully to inform and help us all out thanks

I assume it's a majority of olive oil... If by measurement you grab a 1.25ltr soda pop bottle lid, just fill it 3/4 full of olive oil and put a few drops from a droplet or syringe into the mix, stir it and draw from the lid with the syringe and put it into the animals ear squirting it on the scabs. The measurement doesnt really matter than much, i add more eucalyptus and teatree oil in than a few drops generally, but in the bottle you see in pic, it was 4/5ths full of olive oil first then i filled it with the other, hope that makes sense.

Just an update here, i used this on one of our cats for ear mites as one of them was going crazy shaking her head and not looking well, after inspection she had ear mites pretty bad, so we treated her with this solution and then every 3rd day thereafter for 9 days and it cleared up the mites successfully. If you do this on cats, wrap them in a towel up to their neck and have someone hold them down first, cats have really sharp claws and dont care who you are to them when you do something like this...ouch!

Be very careful when using essential oils on cats as they do not have the enzyme in their liver to break down the essential oils and it will build up in their system and eventually they will die of a form of toxic shock.... tea tree and eucalyptus should be used very sparingly on dogs too as their livers are much smaller than ours and it takes longer for the oils to be excreted from their bodies
