Its tiring reading things about Syria these days the constant deliberate omission of small details to make one side look bad to further the cause of who is telling the story
"Few, if any, of the estimated 200,000 residents in the war-ravaged rebel neighborhoods of Aleppo took advantage of the Russian-led pause in fighting, choosing instead to stay put."
Yeah lets not mention the snipers and mortars that killed those that tried to take advantage and leave the place cause hey that's our team killing civilians
"UN officials attribute this to a lack of guarantees from the Assad government to help evacuate wounded and sick residents in opposition areas"
Yeah like the rebels are just going to let government forces wander around their turf and take away their human shields
here is another point of view on the story www.reuters.com/article/us-mideast-crisis-syria-aleppo-idUSKCN12M043

My point is though I guess we should just leave the place rot we are only delaying the same outcome by supporting something that could never win and never will win

My point is though I guess we should just leave the place rot we are only delaying the same outcome by supporting something that could never win and never will win Plenty of people would happily let the whole middle east burn if it weren't for the fact that we need their oil. If you're interested in knowing where our oil comes from, I recommend checking out this guy's weekly analysis (it's short this week, but he usually has updates about what's happening in all of the main oil regions): www.resilience.org/stories/2016-10-27/peak-oil-review-a-midweek-update-27th-oct-2016
