Yeh that was some swish bolt action shooting...
Points raised...
1. Shit! Where was he shooting? There's boar for Africa! And quick little buggers, lol!
2. Classic demo of clear fields of fire, ambush lanes (kill box's) and using trigger points (points of initiation of action/firing)...
3. Imagine if he'd had a semi! He'd never have moved! As it was that was smooth actioning both from him and the weapon...
4. Utilising red dot type scopes for reactive shooting at short distance...try putting one on a 12g, there is 'no miss' with buck loads...
5. Makes you realise how you DONT want to be up close in ANY shooting exchange...
6. Demos how a long arm will beat out a pistol in any calibre (including .22)...and how if you have a pistol and he has a rifle STAY AWAY!
(And now I wait for the grief / exchange! Lol)

Lol) This is why I have purchased multiple RD's for my long guns and a shitload of appropriate battery stock! My initial concept was high quality US made Burris or Leupold and above 1 x 24 or 1.25 x 24 conventional scopes with some EER, low tech and no circuitry or batteries required! I have now relegated these scopes to back up status and equip long guns with short to mid range capability a medium quality and above Red Dot. With a little practice your instinctive / reactive shooting ability goes through the roof! |

I just got an e-mail alert this morning. Seems a large wild boar is wandering around our neighborhood. Dangerous for small dogs and children.
