Well it's the time of year where we over spend on gifts we're not sure people will want or need...
If you're the type that tells people want you'd like for christmas, what have you asked for? Or if you're hoping you get something, what might that be?
I'm flying back to see family so I've said just vouchers because I'm not going to be able to bring many things back on the plane. I specifically asked for total tools vouchers because I was going to use them to buy a Milwaukee cordless set but I ended up buying the last one in stock of the old version at half the price of the new version. But there's always plenty of tools and consumables to buy.

I've asked for another external battery and a fold-up solar powered backup charger for my mobile devices. Will probably have to buy them myself next week after getting more socks or something else not particulalry useful.

I find the presents I buy for myself are the ones I like the most... and my work gives me 10 pairs of explorer socks a year... I don't need more socks

Santa hates me. For 30 years I've asked for the same two things, either one, I'm not greedy. Never changed my mind, almost always been a good boy, but never has Santa answered my wish. Is it really too much to ask for either an M4 carbine or Elle Macpherson to be sitting under my tree one year? Sounds pretty reasonable to me... if I was santa, you'd get both. Though neither seem likely, maybe if you moved to NZ you might be able to get the former

I usually drop some hints but this year I couldn't really think of much, plus everything I'd like is getting too expensive for anyone to get me as a gift so I'm expecting stuff I don't really need. In any case I bought my self some new toys

The ones I've had for years seem to all be wearing out or disappearing into the big washing machine in the sky at once. I'm thinking it'll probably be something else like a new dress shirt or jacket -- basically something that will cost heaps that I'll never wear, but SWMBO thinks is stylish. (Her main complaint lately is that I'm not stylish enough. Apparently my comfy jackets that are both warm and allow movement should be replaced by something out of the latest top-brand fashion catalogue, that I guess looks good, but doesn't keep you warm and is too tight in all the wrong places to allow movement).

Been working away from home for 3 weeks - have not been in a shop or watch TV so, still living in denial - will worry about it on the 24th. Like a work colleague said it is too late to order on line - just give them a picture of what you will get them and tell them it is in the mail. Cheaper to purchase after the 25th. It is the most painful time of the year and 'It is more blessed to give than to receive' so don't worry about what Santa brings.

Gift vouchers. Preferably for somewhere useful (ie Bunnings is good, some trendy trinket place is bad).
I'm old and ugly enough to decide in what I want for myself, so I really don't need someone else trying to force their own tastes and preferences upon me. I have enough crap in my house already, thanks very much.
Although if anyone would really like to send me a nice Scotch Whisky, I'd be more than happy to accept...

We do a family kris kringle which means one person shops for one person on a much bigger budget than if it was everyone buying like 15 gifts. So things like 1oz coins would be in range...
I got a diggers club membership coming my way (seeds yay!!) But otherwise just asked for craft consumables and treats that aren't in our usual food budget- preserves, good chocolate, nice cheeses etc.

Vouchers for me, bunnings and total tools, and an otter-messer knife. Just a small Orange peeler really but a nice little blade.
And lots of chocolate... that's a prep isn't it

I got nothing. Just the way i like it. I have always been of the mind aet that if i want something i will just save up and buy it. O need to wait until an some particular day to receive something.
On that note the kids had a ball but they enjoy the whole xmas experience
