I am loving the SES's 12 Days of Christmas - Be Prepared social media campaign - here's their latest tweet on it, I would guess they're doing it on Facebook too?

Considering the prevalence of natural disasters in Australia (bushfires, floods, cyclones etc), I still find it weird that preparedness is not more mainstream. In the US, there is a preparedness department under Homeland Security (https://www.ready.gov), while many of the other government departments also have preparedness resources, drills and activities.
Hopefully it won't take a major disaster like 9/11 or the New Zealand earthquakes to get more people informed and prepped up.
