Reports coming in of a vehicle intentionally driving along a footpath in Melbourne CBD, intentionally striking around a dozen pedestrians.
Apparently streets have been locked down, large numbers of police on scene.
Initial witness (on facebook so questionable) statements claim a 4X4 with Middle Eastern Driver mounted the curb and plowed through pedestrians before fleeing.

Italian tourist Stefano Pavan said he thought that the man was yelling, “Allah Akbar” while he was doing burnouts on the corner of Flinders and Swanston street.
Mr Pavan said the man looked middle eastern and there was loud Arabic music blaring from his car.
“People were screaming because he was just going crazy,” he said.
“But it was like he was waiting for the police.”That's were I make my assumption it is terror related - but then again, who would believe an Italian giving advice on winning wars!!

Awful.
From what I could gather.
- Had mental issues
- Had drug issues - friend of mine [ex drug user] says he was iced up
- Had delusions. - The cult he mentioned isn't Islamic, yet calls it that.
- Probably influenced by Islamic terrorists who killed people with vehicles - aka wanted that fame, delusionally thought it was part of the cult, yet not really tied
- Stabbed his gay brother just before all of this - possibly Islamic influence, though not certain and again delusional
- Had delusions of grandeur, evident in the above 'angel' reference
My guess, an insane drug induced attack based on need to be important, whilst using some ideas from Islamic terror to feel and prove how powerful he was whilst murdering innocent people. I rather hope he never leaves prison unless in a casket.
