In April my older 3 children, son in law and friend are coming back over from the UK for a couple of weeks. We will be travelling a fair bit in NSW and QLD and I want to make a small kit for each of them (Will need to make up 5). Thought it might be fun to ask you all what to include in them. While I have some idea as to what to include I thought this may be helpful to others who may want to make kits up for family members as gifts etc. Soo.. 1) Small first aid kit..... cont on! lol

My first three things I chuck in a travel bag are sunscreen, bug spray, and a good water bottle.

Sunscreen and hydration salts. That's a must for anyone not used to our climate.

Yes, though as locals we have enough of it infused within our bodies due to years of absorption, much like people who eat too many carrots turn slightly orange. [they do]

The carrot thing! When my sister had her first child years ago she would give him pumpkin too much and he started to turn slightly yellow, boy was she worried until she realised!! lol

Hand sanitiser, female sanitary products (you never know), box of matches, powdered hydralyte, insect repellent. I mean if someone handed me a goodie bag with that in it I would be cheering haha.

10ml spray bottle of medical alcohol for cleaning toilet bowls if need be. I always travel with a bottle in a bag and a 50ml bottle in the suitcase.

Something for blisters, if you are likely to be doing much walking?

saw a video by a Vietnamese lady hiker who hikes alone in Europe. Her answer to blisters is silk stockings.
Anyone tried?
