Hi, I find this mornings news that the US government did not address any of the CIA spying issues and how wrong they are for spying on people. But made their media release all about how illegal it is for someone to blow the whistle on their secrets and how they are going to catch them etc, most concerning. The assumption is that the CIA is working in the public interest, a claim I'm sure used all through history but more recently by the Nazi's and KGB.
I'm not sure if I like being spied upon by the same mob that asserted weapons of mass destruction existed so as to take out the legal head of a foreign country. Seems they don;t even need to plant evidence just make the accusations and get away with murder.

Awwww, c'mon, all they did was create an uncontrollable power vacuum that has plunged the entire region into a swirling vortex of death and misery for millions of people. That's not too bad an outcome by American foreign policy standards. ISIS is just the next Pol Pot or South American Junta vying for the body count high score.

Remember our own government laws not so long about data retention? Such analogues seem clear to my mind.
