Cheap if you can get some used or misprinted corflutes that is. It's water proof and somewhat insulated, better than a tent I suppose.

I used 8mm core flute for many things in the motorhome fitout, I even have one door made from just core flute. You can route out a V and fold it to get a seamless corner, it's strong enough to support small loads and provides a modicum of insulation with the air gap. Very useful stuff.

I've got a pretty large pile left over from the federal election and have been planning to build something out of them for a while.
I like this project but our election signs are that much smaller so you'd have to buy it outright. Interested to hear you used it successfully in your motorhome build, curious as to costs if you can remember??
I've got visions of a wooden frame with election sign panels weatherboard style, always worried about wind though, I'm seeing it as just a big kite. Will probably just use them to insulate one of my containers.

If election posters are used, I'd also be concerned about some folks with certain political views destroying signs promoting opposing views...

Face the signs inwards ha ha.
He has other designs paranoia, they don't all use the longer pieces like this one. You could also do what he does, make up some cardboard of a smaller scale and experiment.

You could also do what he does, make up some cardboard of a smaller scale and experiment. That's how I designed my boat. I used 200 GSM paper and make to scale cut-outs then just scaled them up onto the plywood. You can re make pieces so quickly that its very quick to make multiple designs, I love it.
Could make a kids cubby house to begin with... don't really have a use for a small shelter that doesn't have wheels.
Would be interesting to make a drop in shelter that fits in the trailer cage though... Will do some arts and crafts soon.

... Interested to hear you used it successfully in your motorhome build, curious as to costs if you can remember?? ... I went to a sign guy in Caboolture and bought maybe 20 sheets for a good price, but I can't remember what price, that was 10 years ago. The 8mm is strong enough to be structural in some applications, well as you can see that guy is doing that and I would say that's 3mm.

Bought 1000kgs of 20mm laminated/ply large boards for $100 off 2nd hand dealer in town. Enough to make a small house. termites are a problem though!

Monto Rob, But martins has since closed the shop due to economic downturn in the area. I was gutted when he told me he was moving as that place was a goldmine of treasures with the prices and gear he had. Got an old coot setting up a sawmill on one of the blocks Rob and may have some sawn hardwood timber at the right price in the future.
