Read something recently about lowered yields from tubs. Never the less, I get why it'd be great on a patio or something.

It would be particularly useful in modern suburban situations where properties are around the 300-400 m2 size. Although I can't see any way of being sustainable for any decent length of time on such a small property (assuming there's around 250-300m2 of house upon it).
