Watching a video from a NASA engineer on the effects of high altitude nuke blast caused EMP, you would only have to do 1 on the eastern and 1 western costs to black out the entire country which the rebuild of the transformers etc to take several years, especially the rate that Energex works at

Yeah anther good storm and SA is out of action.
I have read of that before two well placed nukes and they can take out US power grid. Transformers etc are very specialised and not readily available.

I have had some opposition on Australian prepper sites about how many nuke it will take.. I did not put in a number to keep the discussion away from trivial matters.
