There is a sudden SHTF event, based on what you were doing before logging onto forum, what is the last thing you were doing before the event and what would be the first thing you would grab (other than a family member)?
Watching Robot wars on Youtube and would grab a torch!

Eating dinner. I'd grab my BOB. Depending on the event, I'd see if clearing out the gun safe was beneficial/possible.

LOL got home fell asleep trying to read some ww3 prophecy that I will post in another thread.
Would grab a communication device - esp a radio capable device - Intel is everything and correct assessment of a situation.

Spent the afternoon pulling my sedan & a 4 tonne truck out of a ditch... would grab a recovery jack and do an audit of my chocks! (definitely not well stocked nor well organised)

Lol just spent the last half hour chasing a giant f*cking pony around that had escaped....I'd leave it tied to a tree like I've already done and the next thing I'd do is go and fix the pipe the seeder ripped up so I can fill all our tanks, rather than go mix up milk for all our poddy lambs like I'm supposed to be doing!

Just stopped at a motel in the middle of an interstate drive, 450km from nearest person we know.... in SW NSW. (We'd be up the proverbial creek depending on what happened, nothing better happen for at least 2 months please!!) I'd take a leaf out of spatial 's book and go grab the uhf handset outta the car - then go buy up all the creamed rice from the local IGA because I'd forgotten it existed until paranoia mentioned it... |

Sitting at home, eating dinner and catching up on work that just came in. Wife and kids at friend's place nearby, so would be grabbing the phone and getting them to come home asap (they would probably ignore my ramblings about SHTF and go back to what they were doing though).

Prior to reading this post I was tracing down a bad electrical connection on my auxiliary battery of my Camper Van/BOV which is now sorted. I'm a bug in sort of guy, so I would be focused on news for situational awareness and make my next actions based on that.
