If I am correct, if you claim it is human grade, then it must meet all the legal and other audit requirements in the US as human food. I am not familiar with US labeling requirements but "processed in human food factory" means nothing to me, in most certification system you can say part of the operation isn't within the scope of the certification, the auditor won't even raise an eyebrow.
Lets assume it is fit for human consumption (I am too lazy to read US label laws) they are not half bad, cat/dogs can't digest many things we can eat well but we can generally handle their food. Problem is that stuff is very bland (little salt in it). So I would eat it if hungry, preferably with some tomato sauce but this ain't nice.
