It is well known that education is a great prep. Incase anyone hasn't come across these sites yet, putting the links here. They offer subjects from universities that you can complete online free, but you get no qualification or accredited certificate. There is a huge range of subject areas, including various science subjects such as infectious diseases, health, physiology, and I think I even saw one about the zikka (can't remember spelling of that) virus. www.coursera.orgwww.open2study.com

Huge fan of coursera.org, I believe this style of education is the future.
It's worth pointing out many of these courses are the actual lectures given to those taking 'real' degrees. You can pay to get the qualifications but unless you're doing it for work or ego there's no need.
As they are the full lectures and course work you'll need to devote yourself to them to do it justice. You need to go into it as you would a proper course and set aside the appropriate time in your weekly schedule.
Knowledge is power, get learning!

Ditto on Coursera - I did the Disaster Preparation Course by the Univ. of Pennsylvania. Very basic, but a very enjoyable cse.
Have completed a few others, and currently working on 2-3 others.
Thanks for posting this!!!

This one just into my work inbox - free courses offered by the World Health Organisation: openwho.org/courses
I'm not sure if they would be that useful for preppers, but may have some useful info about certain pandemics etc.
