If you're going to spend 30 years building a "Bunker" in the Forrest and fill it with ammunition & supplies, you'd best make it fire safe...

From the photos the whole thing is a bit of a joke, looks like he had more like a series of linked shacks than a bunker. There goes a lot of hard work and resources though.

Not much of a bunker for survival if a simple bush fire wipes it out.... There are new regulations after ash Wednesday bush fires, on fire bunker design....I would recommend taking a look if your considering a bunker, because if your going to have a bunker it is not much good if it only works as a death trap.

Another point to consider is the recommended thickness for soil or concrete to protect from radiation is a bit over a meter.....If your going to build a bunker you might as well go all the way!!
