Then There Was is an ensemble thriller which tells the story of four college students, an expectant couple, and a lone survival expert who are confronted by a global blackout that forces them to endure the worst of human nature as society falls apart around them. Watch it free at this link; fmovies.ac/watch-the-blackout-2014-fmovies.htmlYou will get directed to other pages a few times before the movie will play, but I just exit out and keep trying till it works - haven't watched much of it, but it is tonight's movie! Let me know what you think if you do watch it.

There is also the 2013 blackout documentaries UK and US version both blunt endings but a must watch. Britain blackout and American blackout 2013 - there are plenty of YT links, prob better than the ones I have posted below.

I've been trying to get into the link posted by SA Hunter for the last 3 hours. I keep getting redirected to free porn (hotmov.com). If Mrs Frostbite asks questions I'm blaming you, SA Hunter. yeah, it keeps redirecting you all the time - just have to x out until the green play sign comes onto the movie. HaHa - I claim no responsibility for what you do behind closed doors.

Anyone know how much data this movie takes up? I'm a bit data constrained.
Had a little flick thru. It seems pretty interesting.
That scene around the 25 min where the shady dude with the broken down car lures out the driver of the other car and clubs him like a baby seal (I assume before ravishing the womenfolk) reminds me of real-life Peter Falconio. Only the doofus who in real life clubbed Pete Falconio to death on a lonely stretch of highway somewhere up near Tennant creek still managed to lose control of petes cable tied girlfriend. (Average Joe public were so perplexed by this 'deviation from the Hollywood script' that many chose to believe she must have staged the whole thing. Rather than the truth: the attacker was a dimwit and she was smart and brave.) Others said she was extremely lucky. I reckon she wasn't lucky: she did the right things at the right time, virtually on instinct, and saved herself.
Food for thought.

The movie is available at fmovies.ac/watch-the-blackout-2014-fmovies.htmlIs this the one with an off-grid family living on a mountain when the power goes out? (I can't work out if it is or not from the story and few still images provided)

OK flick, plenty of dumb mistakes as in most movies like this. But the dumbest IMO were made by the survivor guy.

OK flick, plenty of dumb mistakes as in most movies like this. But the dumbest IMO were made by the survivor guy. The authors are saying no matter what you do you will be stuffed no point in prepping. People like to believe that as thy don't want to take the time and money to get prepared, and don't want to think about bad things happening. Not sure the point is that only crazy people prep and they won't be able to deal with unfolding apocalyptic events. It is just hollywood story telling and if the survival guy got it all right then there would not be much of a story.

I watched the National Geographic American Blackout again on Sat night, this time with the Mrs. I love the way they use 'cell phone footage to make it look like a documentary. The Mrs keenly watched it, asked quite a few questions, and whilst it didn't turn her into a prepper, I think it made her much more supportive of my prepping.
