10 years and 9 years respectively. Both fine. Tomato paste - heinz brand - smelt, tasted and looked like tomato paste. Tin condition was fine. Inside unblemished white veneer. No rust. Tomatos - garlic and onion added - Heinz brand. Looked very pale red/orange. Tasted fine. Interior of can was fine again. Exterior had slight superficial rust speckling. Made spag bol. Well received, no complaints about taste. No one diarrhoea, abdo pain or vomiting !!!!!
Tinned butter. 2 tins. One suboptimal storage 7 years old - separated into oil and solids in tin. Smelt ok. Oil didn't touch taste as unpleasant. but still discarded. Have 12 from same batch - will open another and if the same will bin all remaining 11.
One good storage (cold and dark) 4 years old - looked and tasted like butter. Cooked chocolate cookies with it - tasted fine. Small amount in fridge for toast tomorrow.

Also Baked beans - Heinz. Oldest currently have is 6 years - absolutely fine. Good storage conditions. Some speckling on exterior of can - interior fine. tasted like new - did think a little pale than brand new. Saw same thing with tomatoes - wondered if some sort of colouring breaking down? The tomatoes looked similar to home made tomatoes - less cherry red and more orange in colour. Sauce on beans was similar.
