I doubt EU to stop trade with UK just like that, yeah they can make the Brits starve, but that will just shut down many business within the EU, and potentially trigger their own economic collapse. Worst case scenario is supply gets a little scarce, the market crashes a bit and all parties will start talking terms again. Sure the EU will not want the Brits to starve, even if they could or France will have to deal with a new wave of "boat people"

Maybe the Brits are looking forward to an event like that as it will quickly rid them of a lot of "immigrants" that are screwing their country up. If they get hungry they just might go back over the channel to a more hospitable country. Anyway, they can always forge trade agreements with other countries again. Australia for example....

Think it maybe the brits who are the boat people, they are more financially and logisticaly equipped to move. Besides sure many still think the french owe them for taking them on furing tje 40s
