I defintiely wouldn't grow cassava, great article or picture. Had some dealing with Cassava in Uganda when i lived there and it really is doubling up on sweet potato, always grow orange sweet potato if you can the health benefits from Beta carotene the protein that makes it orange is able to boost your immune system, and if you ever get a parasitic gut infection they can't live with beta carotene. Cassava are a large plant, you might like to grow some diversity in your garden to prevent disease or pest spreading and leaving you with minimal yielding garden. Good luck and let me know how you go.

Will sweet potato grow in Southern Victoria as we have frosts right up to end of October?
