I have a collection of these from an oceanic yachting preparedness and survival manual. Extracts from: Survivor by Michael Greenwald. All accounts start as marine journeys - some end up as insane endurance tests in life rafts while others become endurance tests on harsh coastlines. Lots of good concepts to apply to every day life as well as any kind of physically and or mentally distressing situations. Extracts from: Survivor by Michael Greenwald. If there is a key lesson I personally took away from these stories is that survival is not all about what you have as supplies to begin with. It's about how you use what you have to problem solve and harvest more resources from your surroundings. The bloke on the atoll had a holiday compared to the poor couple in the life raft. You're welcome bce1. The resilience shown by these survivors is truly awesome. Reading these life raft ordeals certainly made me appreciate the importance of carbohydrates in staying healthy. A desert based test: www.bbc.com/news/magazine-30046426
